How to Change a Profile Pic on Facebook

Facebook has become a popular social and networking utility, as nearly every college and high school student has a Facebook profile, making it convenient to stay in contact with peers. One of the best things about Facebook is its high level of customization, including the picture a person sees when your profile loads.

Instructions

1. Log into your Facebook profile.

2. Find the "Applications" area and click on "Photos." Then click on "My Photos."

3. Create a new album by click on the "New Album" tab. Then follow the on-screen prompts to upload a photo from you hard drive to your Facebook profile. Once the photo is uploaded, a new screen will load.

4. Click on your newly uploaded photo. At the bottom, click the link "Make Profile Picture." A box will pop up.

5. Drag the dimensions of the box so that the part of your photo that you want to be your new profile pic is highlighted. Then click "Done Cropping" at the top of the screen. When your profile loads again, the default image will be replaced by your new profile picture.
