Ever been in the situation where you need to do a quick spruce just before your guests arrive, and then you realize you're out of window /glass cleaner? Me too. Luckily I have a mom who was taught to improvise and passed the skill on to me. She was also very thrifty, which is an added bonus. Within moments you too can have sparkling mirrors without having to run to the store. If you have children you can give yourself a pat on the back for minimizing the amount of potent substances being sprayed around your home.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Old Newspaper (avoid pages with extra color).
  • Water
  1. Step 1

    Take a sheet of newspaper.

  2. Step 2

Crumple it into a loose ball. Not tight!

  3. Step 3

Dampen it with cold water. Be careful not to saturate it.

  4. Step 4

Begin cleaning in a circular motion as you would with your usual cleaner and a cloth.

  5. Step 5

If the sheet begins to shed or disintegrate, use a fresh piece.

  6. Step 6

Enjoy your clean, sparkly mirrors and windows.
