Whether we see them in movies or on the road, burnouts always draw attention. The purpose of the burnout is to raise the tire temperature before a drag race (tires perform better when they are hot), but they are also a great way to show off your car! By following these few simple steps, you will be able to do a burnout just like you see in the movies!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • An Open Location
  • An Automatic Transmission Vehicle (V8)
  1. Step 1

    Turn off the traction control system on your vehicle. *This allows the tires to spin freely*

  2. Step 2

    Put the car in "Drive"

  3. Step 3

    Slowly let off the brake, while gradually applying the gas. To pull out of the burnout, let go of the the brake all the way and push the gas pedal down completely. SO LONG!

Tips & Warnings
  • Use EXTREME precaution when performing burnouts!
  • Frequent burnouts will
  • BURN OUT
  • your tires. They will need replacing sooner than usual.
