How to Change the Visualizer Effects in iTunes
The iTunes Visualizer effects are an often-unnoticed feature of the iTunes media program. The effects can dynamically enhance the visual aspect of listening to music. iTunes Visualizer (with a Mac) boasts three colorful lightshow modes: Lathe, Jelly and Stix.

To turn on the Visualizer, choose View > Visualizer > iTunes Visualizer. Once you see a small checkmark after the words, the option is turned on. There might be a momentary pause in your system, and then an electric light show pops up on your screen. The effects are based on the song that is currently playing.

For other light show display options, choose View > Visualizer > Stix or Lathe.

Tips & Warnings
To randomly manipulate the configurations, press the R key. When you press the R with the beat of the selected song, you dictate the light show display.
