Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Dishwashing liquid
  • Bleach
  • Soft bottle brush
  • Hot water
  1. Step 1

Wash the inside. With warm soapy water and a soft spongy bottle brush, wash the inside of the glass. Move the brush around the bottom of the glass in a circular motion.

  2. Step 2

Wash the rim. With a soapy dish towel, wash the rim of the glass. This is a crucial part in the disinfecting of the glass. Carefully wash away any lipstick marks that may have been left on the glass's edge.

  3. Step 3

Rinse well. Rinse the glass inside and out with hot water. Hot water will remove the soap as well as the residue the soap may leave behind.

  4. Step 4

Rinse in bleach. Fill a tub or sink with bleach water. For bleach to be effective, the water should be room temperature. Allow glasses to soak for a few minutes in the bleach water.

  5. Step 5

Allow glasses to dry turned upside down. With the glasses being upside down, the water will drip out of the glass and onto the towel or dish drainer below.

Tips & Warnings
  • Bleach is not effective in extreme water temperatures.
  • Do not stack glasses on top of one another. This method can harbor unwanted and harmful bacteria if the glasses have not been thoroughly dried.
