Looking for an inexpensive and unusual way to decorate your Thanksgiving dinner table? This pumpkin flower vase fits the bill. You can easily obtain all the items needed to make this beautiful harvest decoration that your guests will be talking about.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Small round pumpkin
  • Knife
  • Spoon
  • Small container
  • Flowers
  • Water
  1. Step 1

Cut the top off the pumpkin by cutting around the stem with a knife, creating an opening about 5 to 6 inches around. It should be large enough to hold a bouquet of flowers.

  2. Step 2

Scoop out the inside of the pumpkin with a spoon. Keep the seeds if you wish to roast them later.

  3. Step 3

Place a small container such as a clean coffee can or plastic container inside the pumpkin. Make sure it's deep enough to hold the flowers upright.

  4. Step 4

Fill the container about 3/4 full of water.

  5. Step 5

Place the flowers in the container of water and arrange as desired.

  6. Step 6

Repeat Steps 1 through 5 if using more than one pumpkin.

  7. Step 7

Arrange the pumpkin vase(s) on your table.

Tips & Warnings
  • Artificial flowers can be used instead of real flowers. Omit the water in the container.
  • Add greenery too if desired.
