1
Purchase the type of liquid eyeliner that is right for you. This is an important step, as you want to get the proper brand that will work the best. Choose one that is popular, as name brands are typically better than their cheaper off-brands. One way to choose the right product is to read reviews on them, or ask family and friends for their recommendations. Choose a product that is long lasting, waterproof and non-smudge, such as Maybelline or Revlon liquid eyeliners.

2
After you have purchased liquid eyeliner, you are ready to apply it. First though, apply a soft and light eye shadow to your lids and lower eye, as this will help keep the liquid liner from smudging.
-
-
3
Pull the eyeliner in and out of the bottle a couple of times to ensure that there is enough liquid on the brush. Wipe off any excess.
-
4
Starting with your top lid, apply the liner lightly from the inside corner of one eye and work outwards. You may choose to start with two or three very thin lines when you are starting out, to see what works best for you. Follow the line of your eyelashes and keep the liner as close to them as possible.
-
5
Apply the eyeliner to the top lid of your other eye, using the same technique.
-
6
If you choose to apply the liquid liner to your lower eye, be very careful as you do not want to get it in your eye. Line each eye carefully, starting from the inside eye corner and working outwards. Again, use small, thinner lines to start out with until you get the hang of applying it.
-
7
Do not apply any other eye makeup until your liquid eyeliner has completely dried, to reduce the risk of smudging.

Since I have been using liquid eye liner for so many years I dont want to count. May I also add that a "Q-Tip" is a girls BEST friend when you apply the liquid eye liner. Any mess ups.. and with a tiny tab of baby oil, lotion, etc you can fix ANY booboo. Enjoy and have fun playing! Aloha
