Things You'll Need:
- Men's Casual Pants
- Men's Khakis
- Mens' Dress Pants
- Women's Causal Pants
- Women's Dress Pants
-
Step 1
Elongate shorter legs with slim, cropped pants such as cigarette pants or capris, which end just below the knee. Wear cuffless and flat-front pants, since cuffs and pleats shorten the legs. Try heeled shoes with high-waisted pants that fall and drape over your shoes.
-
Step 2
Opt for wide-leg or straight-leg pants if you have larger thighs - soft palazzo pants that drape loosely are a good choice. Try boot-cut pants and avoid tapered ones, which accentuate large thighs.
-
Step 3
Minimize a generous bottom by wearing wide-leg pants without back pockets, which could attract attention.
-
Step 4
Avoid tapered pants if you have wide hips. Try baggy pants instead.

on 9/26/2008 Good advice. May I suggest also: pinstriped pants can make legs look longer if you want that effect. And ALWAYS make sure your pants are hemmed just right - if they are too long or too short (not counting capris), then it just looks like you don't know how to dress, even if the pants are expensive. Just be prepared to pay the taylor $20 for hemming.

on 9/27/2006 Pants with no back pockets reveal panty lines which are unattractive. Try wearing thong underwear to hide the panty lines.
