Instructions

    • 1

Draw a circle that has guidelines splitting the face in fourths. This will help with eyes, nose and mouth placement.

    • 2

Starting from the left side, make the circle more angular. Draw several straight lines in this fashion: One the left: a vertical line. At the bottom of the vertical line, create another line that goes diagonally to the right, then add another line that goes up diagonally to the right. Make sure these lines extend past the bottom portion of the circle. Where the face cross sections meet, add Inuyasha's nose, a left facing open-based triangle. Below the nose, add Inuyasha's mouth, which consists of a square with pointed teeth. Add Inuyasha's neck.

    • 3

Add Inuyasha's hair. This part may be a little tricky for some. Start at the top of the head and create a rounded top part. As you draw your lines left and right, add subtle lumps and bumps to mimic real hair. Now add bangs. After you add bangs, give Inuyasha his "ear mark" hair: the long bangs on the sides of his face. Then, indicate the rest of his hair in the back of his head by giving him a long hair line. Give Inuyasha shoulders.

    • 4

Now give Inuyasha his ears by adding triangles to the top of Inuyasha's head and hair on both the right and left side. Add secondary triangles inside the ones you just drew, On the shoulders you drew in step 4, indicate a shirt.Draw a fold line that starts at the right side of the neck and goes down diagonally to the left. On the far right, draw a vertical line in indicate a sleeve. On the right side of the neck, add a diagonal line that adds depth to the neck.

    • 5

Give Inuyasha his trademark necklace, which consists of small purple beads and "shark teeth." After you add the necklace, add Inuyasha's eyebrows.

    • 6

Add Inuyasha's eyes. Although he is a dog demon, Inuyasha's eyes are almost cat-like with the elongated pupils. His eyes are also oval-shaped. After you draw Inuyasha's eyes, erase the guidelines you created in step one. You have now created Inuyasha, now you may color him.

Tips & Warnings

  • Anime hair usually consists of sharp angles, so make sure this is reflected through Inuyasha's bangs. His bangs are more triangular and hang almost toward where his eyes are.

  • Inuyasha had thick eyebrows toward the bridge of his nose and they're very thin on the outside. Indicate this in your drawing.
