How to Successfully Recruit Sales Representatives with Avon

As an Independent Avon Sales Representative, besides building your customer base the next step to increasing your income is by recruiting more reps. Getting into Leadership is challenging, yet it can be fun. I have compiled some of my most successful techniques.

1. 

   The first step when recruiting is to get the info out to all your customers. Let them know that you are helping people get started selling Avon, and the benefits in doing so. Do not be afraid of loosing these customers, they will go into your downline, and by helping them become a successful Avon rep you yourself will be making more money. You can always build your customer base back up.
   Some ways besides just talking one on one with your customers is to put a flyer in with each brochure for anyone interested in becoming an Avon representative. Also you can stamp the back of the book/or print labels up and put them on the front of the brochures letting anyone know to contact you if they are interested in buying or selling Avon!!!
   I have searched the Avon forums and many other Avon reps are so willing to help you succeed in your business that they have templates or flyer ideas that they will share, this is extremely helpful.

2. 

   Advertising is also a key way to increase your downline. I put many ads on a free local classified site and with each ad I make sure to put a logo or some picture that really stands out (some of them I have shown here in this article)! These pictures I have mostly found on myspace through other Avon representatives, some I have also found on the youravon site itself.
   I have tried advertising in the local newspaper also, but I really did not get as much of a response from that, which I found kind of surprising!
   Another different way is to have a Rummage Sale! An Avon Rummage Sale! I had a rummage sale 3 years now in a row, each time I have the normal household items, then I have my Avon table. Here I feature many Avon products, free samples, brochures, a couple years I had a drawing to win a basket of products (with the papers they filled out I had name, address, if they were looking for an Avon rep, or if they would like to become an Avon rep), and I always have the FREE Gift that is included for everyone who would like to sign up as an Avon Representative. I signed up a few others this way and the Free Gift really helps (I put together some popular items that total over $50 worth)!

   GOOD LUCK when building your business! It does take a lot of time and effort, keep recruiting and signing up people, because not everyone stays with Avon (some people would rather just be a customer).
