Face masks are designed to bring about a quick improvement in the condition of your skin. If you apply a soothing mask to your skin, and it dries at room temperature, it will tighten the skin and, if the ingredients include natural oils, it will nourish and lubricate.Homemade face masks can visibly improve your complexion by increasing blood circulation, neutralizing bacteria, eliminating wastes and moisturizing and firming pores. Follow these steps for an avocado and honey mask to tone up your skin.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Ripe avocado
  • Runny honey
  • Greek live yogurt
  • Jasmine or rose otto essence
  • Muslin cloth
  • Facial toner
  1. Step 1

Clean your skin. Make sure that your skin is squeaky clean and, if you choose, exfoliate to enhance the effects of the face mask.

  2. Step 2

Gather your ingredients. You will need 1/4 of a ripe avocado, 1 teaspoon of runny honey, 2 teaspoons of Greek live yogurt and 2 drops of jasmine or rose otto essence.

  3. Step 3

Mash the avocado. Use a fork to mash it and then add 1 teaspoon of runny honey and 2 teaspoons of Greek live yogurt and blend thoroughly. Add two drops of jasmine or rose otto essences and mix completely. Let the mixture set for 5 minutes.

  4. Step 4

Apply the mask. Spread a thick coat of the mask on your face and leave it on for at least 10 minutes. Wipe off with a muslin cloth and then rinse the cloth in warm water. Repeat wiping to remove the rest of the mask.

  5. Step 5

Follow up with a toner. After using a mask, it is a good idea to refresh your skin with a toner.

Tips & Warnings
  • Rosewater is an excellent after scrub toner.
  • Leave the mask on for at least 10 minutes but no more than 20 minutes.
