How to Follow Paddleball Rules
You can play paddleball in a small-enclosed court indoors or a designated space outdoors. Players who intend on participating in tournaments or for fun need to follow the rules of the game.

Read rules for 4-wall and one-wall paddleball online at the National Paddleball Association website and the U.S. Paddleball Association (see Resources).

Join a paddleball league. Look for league sign up at your local gym, tennis clubs or near outdoor tennis court areas. Ask members to help you learn the rules.

Sign up for a paddleball camp or teaching clinic. Camps aren't just for youngsters. The National Paddleball Association sanctions several events around the country for women, men and junior players.

Practice with more experienced paddleball players. While it's nice to compete with opponents at your level, it's also helpful to play a veteran once in a while to freshen up on the rules and proper play.

Read over all tournament rules and regulations before playing in any events. Tournament usually follow standard association rules, but also add a few regulations of their own like proper attire, substitutions and types of equipment that are acceptable (see Resources).

Master the rules by teaching others. After you know all the rules to the game of paddleball, teach a new player what you know.
Practice makes perfect. The best way to keep the rules fresh in your mind is to practice and follow the rules while you play.
