How to Create a Housewarming Gift Basket

When you give a gift basket as a house warming gift, you can to personalize the items inside and choose the size of the basket. Choose a decorative basket and arrange the items you purchased to make an attractive presentation.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Decide on a theme for your gift basket. You could use a kitchen theme and fill the basket with gadgets like timers, utensils, dish towels and placemats. Another choice could be the bathroom, and include a shower curtain, soap dish, lotion dispenser and decorative towels.

  2. Step 2

    Select a basket and cover the bottom with raffia to make it more decorative.

  3. Step 3

    Place the largest or tallest item you're including in the middle and the back of the basket to create a focal point. For example, you could make a bouquet of spatulas or wooden spoons and tie them together with a ribbon as your center piece.

  4. Step 4

    Fill in the rest of the basket with the remaining gifts you've chosen, going from tallest to smallest, working from the center toward the sides and front. Step back frequently make sure your arrangement is balanced.

  5. Step 5

    Add additional raffia to fill out the basket. You don't have to stuff the basket for it to be a wonderful house warming gift.

  6. Step 6

    Set the basket in the center of a large sheet of cellophane. Bring the corners up and tie with a pretty bow to complete the presentation of your gift basket.
