Opera's Wand is a convenient password management tool that helps you remain organized and safe while on the Internet. Opera's Wand feature also simplifies the web browsing experience by remembering passwords and other sensitive information so that you won't have to enter it each time you arrive at a website. Follow these tips to use Opera's Wand.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Visit a website that requests a password. Opera's Wand works both with password protected websites and areas in websites that require a password to access certain information.

  2. Step 2

Enter your password into the password field.

  3. Step 3

Wait for the Wand prompt to show on the screen. Select "Save" when the prompt asks you if you'd like Wand to save the password in the password manager. Choose the "For This Page" option so that the Wand remembers the password for the visited page.

  4. Step 4

Visit the website again at a later date and click the Wand icon on the browser's bar or press "CTRL+Enter" when prompted for a password. Enjoy the convenience of Opera's Wand automatically entering it for you.

Tips & Warnings
  • Consider backing up or transferring your Wand data to a safe place so that you won't lose your information.
  • Change Wand settings by selecting "Tools" and "Preferences" from Opera's browser menu.
  • Don't use Opera's Wand if you share your computer with people you don't trust. Your passwords will be made available to them if they use your computer and choose to automatically fill the passwords using the Wand.
