Using Adobe Premiere Pro, you can link a single video clip to multiple audio clips, allowing you to move or edit them without moving them out of sync. You can apply audio effects to all channels of linked clips simultaneously. If you do make edits to linked clips, an “out-of-sync indicator” will alert you that the clips are not in sync any longer.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Hold down the Shift key and select both the video clip and multiple audio clips to link audio clips in the Timeline panel.

  2. Step 2

Go to the Clip menu at the top of your workspace and choose "Link."

  3. Step 3

Display and trim multiclip links in the Source Monitor. When you are ready to view a track that is linked, go to the track’s pop-up menu.

  4. Step 4

Apply effects to multiclip links using the Effect Controls panel. It will display all the video and audio tracks with effects, grouped together by each track.

Tips & Warnings
  • Audio clips must have the same channel type and format (mono, stereo, 5.1) to be linked.
  • “Linking” only links instances of the master clips. The original audio clip is untouched.
