Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Cutting board
  • Fruit peeler and kitchen knife
  • 6 pork chops
  • 3 onions
  • 3 sweet potatoes, sliced very thin
  • 1 1/2 tsp. fresh ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 apples
  • 2 tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 12 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 4 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  1. Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F. Rinse pork chops under running water, blot dry and sprinkle with salt and pepper and arrange pork chops side by side on your baking dish.

  2. Step 2

Peel onions and place on them on your cutting board. With kitchen knife slice onions very thin, making rings. Place on top of pork chops.

  3. Step 3

Wash and peel your sweet potatoes. Place sweet potatoes on cutting board and slice as thin as you sliced your onions. Layer your sliced sweet potatoes over your onions and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

  4. Step 4

Peel, core and slice your apples into rings. Make your apple slices twice as thick as your onions and sweet potatoes.

  5. Step 5

Spoon the sliced apples over your sweet potatoes. Cut the butter into small pieces and drop butter on top of your apples.

  6. Step 6

Mix together your brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Sprinkle the mixture over the top of your sliced apples.

  7. Step 7

Cover your baking dish and bake in the oven for about one hour or until the sweet potatoes are soft.
