How to Create a Modern Kane Costume

Kane, a WWE wrestler, is popular among wrestling fans. You can make a modern Kane costume using inexpensive items from your local supermarket. In fact, you may already have some of the costume items. When you make this Kane costume, you can decide how detailed you want it to be by choosing your materials carefully.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

• Black tank top
• Scissors
• Red cloth paint
• Black toile
• Black stretch pants
• Black vinyl
• White cloth paint or studs
• Black glove
• Black boots
• Red and black face paint

1. Cut a v-neck into a black tank top and paint the straps red with cloth paint. Also paint red flames extending down from the v-neck.
2. Outline and cut out two black, flame-shaped, toile panels. Sew or glue them on the tank top in between the painted red panels.
3. Cut flame shapes out of the sides of a pair of black stretch pants. These flames should extend from mid-thigh to mid-shin. Outline these cutouts in red paint.
4. Use black vinyl to make a thin belt and an armband. To create a spiked look on the belt and armband, you can either buy actual spikes or use white paint to draw spikes.
5. Wear a black glove on your right hand to look like the WWE wrestler. Also put on black vinyl boots.
6. Decorate your face with black and red paint like Kane. Paint your entire face black and then add two red streaks; one in the upper left corner and one that stretches from the right corner, across the nose and down to the corner of the mouth.

Tips & Warnings

• Instead of using toile, you can paint on the details with skin-colored and black paint.
• If you're comfortable with sewing, you could use your leftover black vinyl and some red vinyl to make a mask rather than painting your face.
