How to Forget a Girl

It isn't easy to forget a girl soon after a breakup because the memories of her are still fresh in your mind. As time goes by, forgetting her does get easier as memories begin to fade. Here are some steps you can take to speed up the process.

1. Remove all reminders of her from your life. This includes pictures or her or the two of you together, keepsakes, mementos, even copies of movies you watched together. Having these things around will serve as a constant reminder of her, so get rid of them.
2. Acknowledge thoughts of her as they come into your head and then move on. When you think of her, give yourself a minute or two to do so, then stop thinking about her.
3. Keep busy by focusing on other areas of your life. Go out with friends, get a new hobby or throw yourself into work or school. Keeping yourself busy will prevent you from thinking of the girl you are trying to forget. In short, make the focus of your life about you and not the girl.
4. Remind yourself that there will be other girls. She is not the only girl in the world that you are ever going to care for, believe it or not. Keep reminding yourself of that and keep an open mind about getting to know others.
