Your whole bathroom or kitchen will never look clean if your tile grout is gray and dingy. Use this simple, cost effective cleaner that you can make yourself to clean it up quickly and easily. It's both cheap and easy to make.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 1/2 cup baking soda (the store brand is exactly the same)
  • 1/3 cup plain or lemon ammonia
  • Milk gallon jug

Step1
Clean the milk jug out completely with hot soapy water. Rinse well.
Step2
Pour the vinegar, baking soda and ammonia into the jug. Add the water and shake the jug to mix it well.
Step3
Label your cleaning supplies with a black marker. If you have young children, teach them a symbol that means that something is poisonous and draw it on the bottle. Kids can swallow anything. Don't count on a bad smell to stop them.
Step4
Fill a spray bottle with this solution. Spray right on the tile grouting and wipe with a wet cloth or damp sponge. It should sparkle the first time through. If it was really filthy, you can repeat this step again.

Tips & Warnings

  • You may want to use gloves as ammonia and peroxide will dry your skin.
  • Don't mix this solution with any kind of cleanser that contains bleach. It will make a toxic gas.
