Instructions

    • 1

Clean the balls by hand with a soft scrubbing pad and dish soap. Don't scrub so harshly you make the balls too slippery. You can also tie the balls inside a sock and run them through a cycle in your washing machine. Wash them with whites so they won't change colors. Do not run them through the dryer.

    • 2

Wipe down the inside and surface of the table with a soft non-abrasive cloth and soapy water or rubbing alcohol. Use the least amount of liquid possible to avoid leaving any moisture in or on the table. Excessive liquid can get under the playing surface and damage it. Avoid commercial cleaning solutions and glass cleaners that cause corrosion and leave the surface too slick.

    • 3

Lubricate the rods with silicone oil. Use a spray bottle and apply to the outside of the rods to avoid dripping lubricant onto the playing surface. Move the rod back and forth as you apply the lubricant for even distribution. Wipe any excess lubricant with a cloth.

    • 4

Check your men or figures to make sure they are tightly secured to each rod. If any are loose, tighten them to ensure strong accurate shots and passes during a game. This will also help to prevent them from cracking or breaking.

    • 5

Dust the handle of each rod with a damp cloth to prevent any corrosive buildup. Dry each handle before playing again. Never use furniture polish or window cleaner; these will leave the handles slippery and difficult to grip.
