1
If you have hardwood floor, buy a small floor mat. If not, imagine a small rectangle on your floor. Stay in that area while you shadow box.
-
2
Buy a set of either 5- or 10-pound weights (the weight can be whatever is comfortable for you) and hold them while you shadow box. Since you really can't maneuver around a small apartment, you'll want your shadow boxing to be more about strength training.

3
Instead of buying a bag, use either couch cushions or a mattress. This will save you the space that a punching bag would take up. Just be sure to not punch your cushions while holding onto the weights.

4
When you shadow box, spend over half of your workout on punching combinations. You won't have to move around to do this and you'll still get in a good workout as well as boxing practice.

When it comes time to practice your foot movements, remain in the confined space. Use back-and-forth and side-to-side movements while staying on your toes. This won't give you a great cardio workout but it will strengthen your legs and help you practice staying on your toes.
