Memory wire is a heavy gauge wire that's usually made of stainless steel. It's quick and easy to make a memory wire bracelet, since you don't need other findings--just the wire, beads, and tools. You don't need to worry about the size of the bracelet, since one size fits all. Once you wear it a few times, it will conform to the size of your wrist.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Memory wire
  • Heavy gauge wire cutters
  • Round nose pliers
  • Beadboard
  • Beads
  • Head pins and beads (optional)
  • Charms (optional)
  1. Step 1

Decide how many loops of bracelet you want around your wrist. Memory wire is sold with each loop of the wire equal to one loop around the wrist. Use sharp wire cutters to cut to size. Allow enough wire at the end for a slight overlap.

  2. Step 2

Bend one end of the wire tightly around the pliers to make a small loop. Make sure the the loop is completely closed so that no beads can fall off and small enough that it doesn't stand out and interfere with your design.

  3. Step 3

Choose the beads you want to use. Use a bead board to arrange your beads into the pattern you want. Dress up the bracelet by placing a head pin and bead on each end of the bracelet or throughout the bracelet for more dangles. Add a charm to one of the closing loops.

  4. Step 4

String the beads onto the wire. Leave enough room at the end to create a closing loop.

  5. Step 5

Create a closing loop by twisting an end of the finished bracelet tightly around the pliers. Test the bracelet to make sure no beads can fall off.
