Things You'll Need:
- Invitations
- Food
- Drinks
- Large table with chairs
- Good selection of games
-
Step 1
Send out an Evite. Go to the Evite website to create a personalized invitation for your game night (see Resources below). The Evite is a great way to view who has replied to your invitation and makes it easy for all of your guests to communicate with each other before your event. Your guests will all probably want to bring something, so take them up on their offer! If you want guests to sign up to bring something, list what you are looking for so they can sign up via the Evite.
-
Step 2
Plan simple foods. Plan simple make-ahead finger foods like veggies and dip, Mexican salsa or guacamole, bruschetta and simple desserts like cookies or cheesecake bites. A chocolate fondue is always a big hit-- just melt squares of chocolate in a fondue pot and serve it with strawberries, sliced bananas, brownie or pound cake pieces, marshmallows or graham crackers.
-
Step 3
Mix up some drinks. If you’re planning to serve cocktails, keep it simple so you’re not playing bartender all evening. Serve chilled wine or make up a pitcher of martinis ahead of time. Fruity martini drinks like an apple martini or a berry martini are always fun. For tons of martini and other drink recipes, check out the drinkoftheweek website (see Resources below). Be sure to have plenty of non-alcoholic beverages like juice, soda and water available as well.
-
Step 4
Make sure you have enough seating. Plan your game area at a large table. If your table is not large enough to seat all of your guests, consider putting a couple of card tables together and cover them with a tablecloth.
-
Step 5
Pick some good games. After all of your guests have arrived, settle down for the highlight of the evening: some serious game playing. Keep in mind that the games you choose can either make or break your evening. Classic games like Pictionary and Outburst are always good for some laughs. If you have an intense group of guests, try the game Cranium (but this game does take some concentration). Another game guaranteed to have you laughing is Loaded Questions. Avoid games that don’t require much interaction between players, like Monopoly or Sorry. You can also consider playing the simple dice game, Bunco, which has become very popular at neighborhood girl’s nights.

on 3/21/2009 A-1 Bingo supplies (http://www.a-1bingo.com) might be the type of place that you’re looking for. If it’s entertainment supplies such as a casino night type setup or a poker fundraiser. Hey, they even rent out a photo booth which is pretty cool. I don’t know exactly where you’re located, but they are based out of Grand Rapids, and concentrate on the West Michigan are, but I believe they are more than happy to make arrangements based upon specific situations.
