You can make your Excel spreadsheet look much more professional by adding headers and footers. One way to make your header or footer really stand out is by inserting a graphic. Here's how!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Open the Excel spreadsheet that you want to print. Click on "View" in the Excel toolbar, or use the keyboard shortcut Alt+V.

  2. Step 2

From the "View" menu, click on "Header and Footer."

  3. Step 3

Click "Custom Header" or "Custom Footer."

  4. Step 4

Determine whether you want your header or footer in the "Left Section," "Center Section" or "Right Section" and click inside the corresponding field, so that your cursor appears there.

  5. Step 5

Click the "Insert Picture" button. This button, on the far right, has a picture of mountains and the sun on it.

  6. Step 6

In the "Insert Picture" dialog box, navigate to the graphic you wish to use. Double-click it to insert it in your header or footer. Click "OK" on the "Header" or "Footer" dialog, and once more on the "Page Setup" dialog box.

Tips & Warnings
  • To make changes to the graphic, click the "Format Picture" button on the row of buttons in the "Header" or "Footer" dialog box.
  • To replace a graphic, select "&[Picture]", click the "Insert Picture" button, and then click "Replace."
  • To delete a graphic, select "&[Picture]" and then press "Delete."
