How to Ask a Guy out on Valentine's Day
Contrary to what some women may think, many guys like it when the female makes the first move. This is especially true when making that Valentine's Day date. To avoid another Valentine's Day of sitting at home by yourself, get it together and ask your favorite guy out.

1
Learn what your guy likes to do for fun. You can ask him directly or consult a friend of his. Ask the friend if asking out this guy will turn off the object of your desire. He may not want to lose the thrill of the chase that comes from being the pursuer.
-
2
Take inventory on how many interests or activities you share with your guy. The date will be more enjoyable if you do something you both enjoy and you can suggest a nontraditional date activity for Valentine's Day, such as a day hike or watching a sporting event. That will get his attention.

3
Make some small talk. Breaking the ice may be the best way to set the tone for asking him out. This is also a good opportunity to bring up Valentine's Day.
-
4
Eliminate environmental distractions. You don't want to pop the question when there are other people around or if there is loud noise in the background.
-
5
Display friendly and open body language, such as sustained eye contact, leaning forward and smiling.
-
6
Ask him out. Be confident and express your wishes in simple terms. He will likely be impressed with your lack of nervousness. Don't be vague about your purpose for getting together. If you want a date, and if it's for Valentine's Day, let him know so there are no awkward misunderstandings later on.
-
7
Show appreciation when he says "yes." This will give him a subtle indication that you are very interested in him.
