This is a great party theme for girls who like to dress up! Most party stores will have some great backdrops and cutouts to add to the atmosphere of the party.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Red fabric at least 5 yards long ( or a red plastic runner from the party store)
  • poster board
  • gold paint and foam brush
  • various pictures or posters of celebrities (we use teen magazines with the free posters inside)
  • movie theater snacks
Step1
Cut out stars from the poster board and paint with gold paint to resemble the walk of fame. Write each guest's name on a star and create your own walk of fame, or attach them to the wall as a photo back drop.
Step2
For the invitation, create a movie ticket with the "showtime" on it. Make sure to encourage your guests to dress up as their favorite celebrity!
Step3
JLo and Beyonce Arrange for some adult friends or family to be there as guests walk in, with cameras flashing to be the Paparazzi. Have one person with a microphone announce the stars as they walk in on the red carpet, describing their outfit, and asking for interviews. Have one spot set up with a back drop for poses and pictures with the Guest of honor.
Step4
For food, have a candy section setup with mini versions of candy bars and licorice, etc. Make popcorn and put in popcorn bags from a party store. Also, hotdogs and pizza are kids favorites and pretty easy.
Step5
For games, have the guests create a script or story, and act it out. Then a parent can videotape the final production and everyone have a private screening party afterwards. Have an awards ceremony follow, with inexpensive trophies from a party store.
Step6
For take home gifts, print the photos of the guests with the Guest of Honor onto photo paper through your printer.
