Pen and Paper or a computer which you can print from
Envelopes and postage
Step1
Write a generic letter. As can be done will pen and paper, but it is easier to use a computer because you can reuse the same letter, just changing a few sentences. This is the letter that you will be mailing to assorted companies. In this letter the main message needs to be that you purchased that company's product and you are extremely satisfied. When writing this letter, make sure to be both creative and professional. You want to get your message across, but you don't want it to sound like you are asking for a handout.
Step2
Now that you have your generic letter, use this multiple times. So figure out what company you are going to send the letter to and change a few pieces of the information. It should be as simple as changing the product and company.
Step3
Now you need to get the addresses of the places you want to send letters too. To do this, do a google search of the company and find the result that looks like the official site for that company. Go there and look for a page that says something like "Contact Us", if you can't find this in the main links on the site, check the very bottom.
Step4
Now you have a letter tailored to the company you want something free from and you have their address. Now you just need to put tem all together. Put the letter in an envelope, get postage, and send it out. Now the reason you want to do this through a letter as opposed to an email or phone call, is because anyone can make a phone call or write an email. Writing a letter takes some extra time and a little money ($0.41), by doing so you come across with more credit and sincerity.
Tips & Warnings
This is not a guarantee, but the reason this works is because the huge companies have so many clients and so much money that it is easier to cave to people's requests as opposed to sort through them and figure out which people deserve compensation.
