How to Wear Your Pedometer Correctly
A pedometer measures how many steps a walker, jogger or runner takes during an exercise session. If the pedometer is not worn the right way, the readings may not be valid.

Use the clip on the pedometer to attach it to the waistband of your clothes. It should be on the side of the body, with the top as close as possible to the top point of the hipbone.

The pedometer should be in a straight vertical or horizontal position with the numbers facing up.

Always wear the pedometer on the same side for consistent readings.

Tips & Warnings
To test the pedometer for accuracy, set it to zero and walk 50 steps. Count the steps as you go and check the pedometer. It should read 48, 49 or 50.
