How to Record a Web Video with Real Player

Capturing streaming video off a website used to be a complicated and shoddy process. Using Real Player 11, this has become very simple.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Real Player 11
  • An Internet connection
  • At least 1 gigabyte of free hard drive space
  1. Step 1

    Uninstall any previous versions of Real Player. Install Real Player 11. Restart your computer once the installation is completed.

  2. Step 2

    Navigate to a video site such as youtube.com or veoh.com.

  3. Step 3

    Find desired video. Hover the mouse over the video. A small sign will appear at the top of the video that says "Download Video?". Click this. The video will automatically install.

  4. Step 4

    To find the downloaded video, navigate to the My Videos folder, and find the sub-folder "RealPlayer Downloads".

Tips & Warnings
  • You don't have to watch the entire video for it to download.
  • Do not download pirated movies
