Things You'll Need:
- 50 ml of jojoba oil
- 4 tsp. fresh chamomile
- Strainer
- Approximately 1 tsp. of Vitamin E oil
- 1 tbsp., beeswax (Pellets work great)
- 20 drops of rose essential oil
- Double boiler (Stainless steel)
- Baby food jar
-
Step 1
Warm the jojoba oil over low heat, being careful not to burn the oil. Once warm, remove from heat and add 4 tsp. of fresh chamomile. Cover the oil and herbs and place in a sunny warm location for 2 days.
-
Step 2
Strain the chamomile from the oil. Some of the oil will have evaporated, so add enough Vitamin E oil so that you once again have 50 ml of oil.
-
Step 3
Combine 1 tbsp. beeswax with the oil and chamomile mixture in a stainless steel double boiler. Heat the mixture until the wax melts thoroughly and remove from heat. Add 20 drops of rose essential oil and stir well.
-
Step 4
Pour the mixture into a glass baby food jar with a tight fitting lid and allow the hand salve to cool completely before using.
