Things You'll Need:
- Tire
- Bricks
- Heavy duty jack
- Tire iron
- Lug wrench

Step 1
Collect all tools and supplies needed to change the tractor tire. This way all of the equipment will be at hand and the job will go a lot faster.

Park the tractor on an even ground without any bumps. If changing a rear tire, place a few bricks in front of the front wheels. To change a front tire, place the bricks behind the rear wheels.

Put the heavy duty jack near the tire which needs to be changed. Arrange it securely under the metal tractor frame. Read the tractor owner's manual if you are not sure where to place the jack.

Lift the tire off the ground by continuously cranking the jack. Use a tire iron to remove the hubcap, if present. Place a lug wrench on the lug nut and apply pressure counter clockwise to loosen it until it comes off. Remove all the lug nuts using the same technique.

Align the new tire with the wheel bolts and put it securely in the hollow metal part of the tractor. Place the lug nuts back in their positions and tighten with the lug wrench.

Lower the jack carefully to bring down the tractor. Once the tire touches the ground, remove the jack. Double check the lug nuts before removing all apparatus from the tractor.

Place the hubcap on the new tire. Apply pressure by hand to snap it in place. Remove the bricks from the wheels.
