How to Add Gadgets to an iGoogle Webpage

Customize your iGoogle webpage by adding gadgets. Google provides a gadget directory with many web feeds, news feeds, games and widgets to choose from. You also can create your own gadget for your iGoogle webpage. Share your gadgets with family and friends.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Go to your custom iGoogle webpage. Log in if necessary. Read the related eHow article titled "How to Make an iGoogle Webpage" for tips on creating an iGoogle webpage.

  2. Step 2

    Click the "Add Stuff" link to browse Google's directory of gadgets. Use the search option to narrow down your results.

  3. Step 3

    Press the "Add it now" button to add a gadget to your page. Drag and drop the gadget anywhere on your iGoogle webpage. Edit the appearance of the gadget by clicking on the triangle button in the gadget box.

  4. Step 4

    Use the "Add by url" link to access your prepublished online gadget. Enter in the online location of the gadget.

  5. Step 5

    Follow the "Create your own gadget" link to create and publish your own gadget. Choose from personal photos, a mini daily blog, personal top ten list, countdown and GoogleGram. Click the "Get Started" link to create the gadget. Choose the display options and color scheme for your gadget. Use the "Preview" button to view your changes before creating the gadget.

  6. Step 6

    Share your gadgets. Use the "Send invitations" link on your new gadget to send an email link to others so that they can share in the fun.
