This dice game is fun and oh-so-simple to learn. Players take turns rolling the dice, with players completing their turns one at a time. It goes by quickly and is a fun way to "kill time." This will be one game that your whole family can enjoy together. Just follow the instructions below.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 5 dice
  • Sheet for scoring

Step1
Take the dice when it is your turn. Roll all five die at once.
Step2
Sum up the numbers on all 5 dice if you do not throw a 2 or a 5. Write this number on the score sheet.
Step3
Look for any die showing a 2 or a 5. Remove these dice and place them to the side--they are now dead. You get no points for a round if you roll a 2 or a 5.
Step4
Roll the dice again, and, as before, score the numbers showing if you did not roll a 2 or a 5. Continue to remove any 2's and 5's and roll without them, giving yourself a score of zero for a roll containing either of these numbers.
Step5
Continue rolling until the last die comes up as a 2 or a 5--when this happens, you have "dropped dead."
Step6
Hand the dice over to the next person. Go around the group until everyone has completed his turn.
Step7
Add up the scores. The person with the highest score wins.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make the game last longer by taking more than just one turn per player. Once everyone has completed a turn, just go around the circle another time or two.
