  6. Step 1

Confirm your address with PayPal. Many sellers will only ship to confirmed addresses so that they will be covered under PayPal's Seller Protection policy.

  7. Step 2

Use the "Pay Now" button to pay for an item you've won, then choose PayPal as your payment method. You will be redirected to PayPal's website, where you will need to sign in to your account.

  8. Step 3

Look over the payment information for your item. Decide whether you want to fund your payment by credit card, bank account or available PayPal balance.

  9. Step 4

Click the "Pay" button to send payment. Check your email inbox for your electronic receipt.

  10. View Payment History and Details

  11. Step 1

Find the item of interest in the "Items I've Won" or "Items I've Sold" sections in "My eBay."

  12. Step 2

Use the drop-down menu in the "Action" column next to the item description and select "View Payment Details" to see information about the status of item payment.

  13. Step 3

Choose "View PayPal Payment" to see the history of a payment. After logging in to your PayPal account, click the "History" tab.

  14. Step 4

Find your payment by looking through the transactions or applying a search filter.

  15. Step 5

Use the link in the "Details" column to see a full history of the transaction. You will be able to see when you paid, the shipping address and any messages that were entered at the time of payment.

  16. Use PayPal as an eBay Seller

  17. Step 1

Pay your eBay seller's fees by automatic deduction or via a one-time payment from PayPal. In "My eBay," click on the "Seller Account" link, and then make your choice on the "Seller Account Summary" page.

  18. Step 2

Use PayPal as an immediate payment option on your listings. If you have a business or premier account, you can choose to use the immediate payment option so that buyers are automatically directed to a PayPal payment page when they purchase one of your products.

  19. Step 3

Ship items via PayPal by selecting "Ship Item" on the drop-down menu in the "Action" column. You will be prompted to log in to your PayPal account, after which a page with all the shipping details will open. Enter all the relevant information, have the postage deducted from your account and print a shipping label.

Tips & Warnings
  • You don't already have to have a PayPal account to use PayPal as a payment method for eBay. You may use your credit card through PayPal or set up an account after you purchase an item.
