How to Play Catch Phrase

Catch Phrase is a board game that requires four or more players. While playing this game, you will have a chance to guess an answer from your team mate's clues before the buzzer sounds. It is perfect for large groups, so gather some friends together and get ready to play Catch Phrase!

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

• Catch Phrase board game
• Four or more people

1. Select two teams, each with an even number of players. You will need at least two players.
2. Give each team one phrase disk.
3. Explain the rules to each participant. The object of the game is to be the team to get seven points first.
4. Set the timer and give the buzzer to Team 1. One person from Team 1 will try to give their team mates clues to their phrase. If Team 1 guesses the phrase, Team 2 gets the buzzer and tries to guess their phrase.
5. Continue the game by going back and forth, as each team guesses the correct phrases. If the buzzer sounds during your turn, the other team gets a point and has the chance to earn a bonus point if they guess your phrase.
6. Mark the points for each team on the scorecard. Seven points wins the game!

Tips & Warnings

• You may use words and physical gestures to give clues.
• When giving clues to the phrase, you may not say any form of the phrase. You cannot give the first letter or give clues that rhyme with your phrase.
