Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Reduce the number of games you attend overall by at least half. If you go to the stadium less often, you'll appreciate being there more when you do go.
Step2
Stop listening to the sports talk radio stations. Not only are most talk hosts bitter fans who complain themselves, but do they really represent the fans when many haven't even paid for their own tickets in years?
Step3
Don't go to the sports pages first in the newspaper. Try something more uplifting, like the comics.
Step4
Attend minor league games once in a while, especially if they are close to your area. You can see players who don't make much money and still play "for the love of the game." It will probably cost less to attend them as well.
Step5
Play the games yourself whenever possible, especially if you did in the past. Not only can you remember how fun the sports are, you may realize just how hard playing at the professional level must be.
Step6
Always remember those four words: It's Only a Game. If more people involved in sports could remember that, everything else might just fall into place.
