Things You'll Need:
- Computer with Internet access
-
Step 1
Log onto your MySpace account (see Resources below). Click on "Edit Profile" to start adding custom HTML code.
-
Step 2
Add your custom HTML and CSS code to the "About Me" section. If you do not know basic Web programming, use a profile generator like Thomas' MySpace Editor, which will generate the code for you (see Resources below).
-
Step 3
Click on the "Save All Changes" button, and then check your profile by following the "View My Profile Link." Since you are editing the style of your entire profile, you will not be able to see most of the changes by merely clicking "Preview Profile."
-
Step 4
Troubleshoot your HTML. Make any changes to the code you placed in the "About Me" section until your profile looks the way you want it to. Be sure to check your profile on Firefox and Internet Explorer as both browsers show custom styles differently. Visit MySpace Help if you need more assistance (see Resources below).
-
Step 1
Find a third-party template. Templates change the entire look of your page from a background photo to new fonts. "MySpace Support" offers seasonal and user-rated templates (see Resources below).
-
Step 2
Copy ("Ctrl + C") layout code provided by the template Web site.
-
Step 3
Log in to MySpace and "Edit Profile." Paste ("Ctrl + V") the third-party code into your "About Me" section and click the "Save All Changes" button.
-
Step 4
Customize your template by tweaking the HTML provided. Most layout code will have easy-to-navigate styles if you want to further customize the template.
