How to Book Travel on Arik Air


Arik Air became the talk of the Nigerian airline industry when it took over the facilities of Nigeria Airways in 2006. It not only replaced the country's national airlines, but also introduced the first new planes to Nigeria in 20 years. Arik Air offers passenger service to seven regional destinations within Nigeria as well as flights to Ghana, Guinea and Senegal. Look for additional routes to Europe and the U.S soon.

Book Your Travel on Nigeria's Arik Air

  • Decide on the details of your travel and then head to the Arik Air Web site (see Resources below). Alternatively, you can book by phone at 011 (+234) 1 2799999. Expect inexpensive to moderate pricing.

  • Enter the type of ticket you want, as well as the departure city and destination city. Provide your travel dates and then choose the number of tickets you want for adults, children and infants. Select economy or business class.

  • Click "Search."

  • View the Search Results listed for both your outbound and inbound legs.

  • Select your preferred outbound and inbound flights and click "Book Now."

  • Read the Terms and Conditions and then click "Continue" to accept these terms and conditions.

  • Confirm that the flights you want are the ones listed and note the price quotes.

  • Pay for your flight on the "Payment" page.

  • Remember to print out all of your confirmation information when you book your Arik Air flight. The day before your departure, call the airline to confirm your ticket.

Tips & Warnings

  • All phone numbers include the United States international prefix "011." When calling internationally from outside the United States, check which prefix to use. All country codes are within parentheses and begin with a "+" sign.
  • If you're not ready to book over the Internet with Arik Air, email them at
  • Not everything is fully electronic at Arik Air, so you may find yourself picking up your physical tickets and making payment at one of their regional offices.
  • Make sure you have your passport handy when booking online as you will need to enter your passport number.
