Using HTML to try to design your own Web site can be a laborious process. With GoDaddy's 'round the clock customer service and easy to understand Web creation tools like WebSite Tonight®, starting from scratch is no longer necessary.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Form of online payment
  • Computer with Internet access

Determine Your Goals

Step1
Set aside at least a couple of hours to set up a Web site with GoDaddy. Although the general process of getting started is swift, deciding on details when you create your page will take some time.
Step2
Check the GoDaddy WebSite Tonight page to understand the Web site creation options they offer. Access it from the "Site Builders" menu on the home page. Your choice of options will largely depend on how large you want your Web site to be. GoDaddy offers plans for 5- and 10-page Web sites or Web sites with an unlimited number of pages.
Step3
Decide how long you want GoDaddy to host your Web site. You can choose between a trial option of a couple months or one and two year plans.

Start Your Own Web site

Step1
Access the GoDaddy main page. Go to "Site Builders" where an option menu will drop down.
Step2
Click on "My Website Account." This will take you to the page to sign in if you are already with GoDaddy or to register if you are not. Enter your contact information to open a new account.
Step3
Click on the orange button "Create a New Account." Choose the pricing package and features you would like to create with your Web site. Pay for your selection on the "Checkout" page.

Enjoy Your Site

Step1
Create your own Web site using WebSite Tonight. Upload pictures and graphics to personalize your site.
Step2
Set up an email campaign to inform people of your new site. GoDaddy offers Express Email Marketing through your GoDaddy account.

Tips & Warnings

  • Give yourself plenty of time to play with the different Web site features on WebSite Tonight. There are many options within the program, and you'll want to allow yourself enough lead time before your publicized launch date to ensure you can master all the available perks.
  • Check in with the Help Center (see Resources below) if you're having any trouble uploading pictures or images to your Web site.
  • Be wary of emails from GoDaddy requesting you to log in from the email itself. Typically, these kinds of emails are scams designed to steal personal information. Always log on through the GoDaddy main page.
