IBEX Airlines began operations under the name Fairinc in 1999. Today, IBEX operates solely as a domestic flight service, with its main base at Sendai. It now works in agreement with All Nippon Airlines (ANA).

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

Book Your Tickets on IBEX Airlines

Step1
Book your tickets directly through IBEX Airlines by calling its Reservation Center at 011 (+81) 0120-686-009. You'll find this and other phone numbers, plus helpful information including flight routes, at the IBEX Airlines Web site (see Resources below).
Step2
Book your IBEX Airlines tickets over the Internet at the ANA Web site (see Resources below). ANA, or All Nippon Airways, is in charge of ticketing, reservations and sales for IBEX Airlines.
Step3
Enter your reservation and seat for the flight of your choice. You can change your seat information with an upgrade until 1 hour before takeoff. Pay for your flight in advance or when you arrive at the airport. You can pay at either the vending machines or an airline counter.

Explore Possible Destinations for Flights on IBEX Airlines

Step1
Travel to Hiroshima. Visit such monuments as the A-Bomb Dome, the Peace Park and the Peace Memorial Museum.
Step2
Keep in mind that some IBEX flights are only seasonal.

Select a Departure City Served by IBEX Airlines

Step1
Choose your starting place from one of the airports served by IBEX Airlines, including Sapporo Chitose, Shonai, Komatsu, Sendai, Fukushima, Osaka Itami, Tokyo Narita, Oita and Hiroshima.
Step2
Fly from the U.S. to Japan, arriving at the Narita International Airport in Tokyo or the Osaka International Airport. IBEX Airlines has no international flights, but its partner company, ANA, has many. Once you arrive on an ANA flight, you can fly on IBEX domestically throughout Japan.
Step3
Allow at least 45 minutes between flights if you are making a flight connection.

Learn About IBEX Airlines Travel Policies

Step1
Travel with only 1 piece of carry-on luggage weighing less than 15 kg.
Step2
Use the "Skip" feature found on the ANA Web site to learn how to avoid check-in. This feature allows you to arrive at the gate just 10 minutes before your departure time, but it is not available at all airports.

Tips & Warnings

  • Book airline tickets online to use convenient electronic tickets.
  • In order to get the best savings on your ticket price, be sure to book your flight at least 45 days in advance.
