Most people are unable to achieve their goals because they are often vague, general and have no specific time frame for set for achieving them. If you follow these steps to creating a goal you are more likely to have success in realizing your goals come to fruition.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Be in the present- Phrasing your goal in the present set your mind and focus that the goal is already achieved. Phrasing it in the future keep it "out there."

  2. Step 2

Be Positive- Always state what you want or have now, not what you don't what or have. "I have peace" vs " I don't want to have confusion."

  3. Step 3

Feels "right"- Whatever your goal is it should feel "right" or possible for you to achieve-it should be something within your reach.

  4. Step 4

Include YOU- Phrase and start your goals with "I." For example, "I'm losing 10 pounds" vs "To lose 10 pounds."

  5. Step 5

Be specific and brief- Make your goals using as few as words as possible exact words that allow the gaol to still have significant meaning for you.

  6. Step 6

Don't put on limits- Don't include specific limits-leave things, such as sources, as open as possible. This allows for results to be better than what you may have initially imagined. For example, instead of saying" I'm receiving extra income from my job" you might want to say "I'm receiving extra income in order to meet my immediate need" stating your goal this way allows you to be open from other sources of income, ie family, friends, winnings, etc.

  7. Step 7

Want vs Allow- "Wanting" signifies lack. If you want something your telling yourself you don't have it or never will have it. Instead just "allow" yourself to just have it.

  8. Step 8

Let GO- Once your have your goal you need to "let it go" and release it. Don't pick, analyze, or worry about the process. There is nothing to figure out.

Tips & Warnings
  • Examples of goals: "I allow myself to easily find or develop a life's work which greatly uses my creative abilities and/or skills providing me abundant financial rewards. "I allow my relationship with my co-workers to be joyful, beneficial and respectful.
  • Never think of things as coming in the future, it sets the mind up to keep you goals in the future, thus never achieving them.
  • Feel, see, hear, taste, and posses your goals as yours now!
