Step 1
Use a felt-tip pen to sketch an egg shape on a sponge.

Cut the shape out with sharp scissors.

Pour a small amount of paint onto a smooth, flat surface such as a glass pie dish.

Flatten the sponge gently onto the paint and pat it around so coverage is even.

Step 5
Press the sponge onto a closed (flat) brown paper lunch bag.

Step 6
Continue placing the sponge in the paint and pressing it onto the bag until both sides of the bag are covered with printed eggs.

Allow the paint to dry.

Add spots, stripes and other designs to the printed eggs with a marker.

Open up the decorated bag.

Fold the top of the bag down about 2 inches on all four sides, as though you were cuffing pants.

Fold the top of the bag down a second time.

Use a hole punch to punch one hole on each side end of the bag. Both holes should be one inch from the top folded edge of the bag.

Cut a piece of paper twist ribbon 14 inches long for the basket handle.

Untwist the middle of the ribbon, leaving 2 inches still twisted on each end.

Step 7
Insert one end of the ribbon into one of the holes in the paper bag from the inside out.

Untwist the end. The end of the ribbon should now be too wide to pull back out of the hole.

Step 9
Repeat steps 15 and 16 on the other side of the bag.

Step 10
Fill the basket with Easter grass.
