On the road again! If Willie Nelson is singing your personal theme
song, you've probably already got your business travel packing down
to a science. If not, glean nuggets from these tried-and-true tips.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Keep your standard business travel checklist near the front door, and never forget that cell phone charger again. See 3 Write an Effective To-Do List.

  2. Step 2

Pack a single carry-on or garment bag and a briefcase. Don't waste time waiting for checked luggage. See 421 Pack for a Week in One Carry-On.

  3. Step 3

Buy a wheeled suitcase with a easy-to-access pocket for your laptop for quick trips through security.

  4. Step 4

Bring work to do on the plane. Check SeatGuru.com to see if your seat has a power port. If not, pack an extra battery.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you're taking your cell phone, computer or digital camera, bring the charger (and an adapter if you're going abroad). Your U.S. cell phone won't work in many countries, which have different phone systems. Buy an international phone card.
