Beer bread is as easy as it gets when it comes to baking. Just stir and dump -- the process takes just a few minutes to get into your oven. The results are soft, slightly chewy, with a hint of beer. Use the spoils of your labor to make grilled cheese, french toast, or just spread with butter and jam. It's the perfect way to satisfy the baking itch without the time commitment or the excessive load of dishes.

Things You'll Need

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

Tip

Be sure to use a low-hop beer! Pale ales and IPA's will be far too bitter for this bread. Look for a wheat beer, lager or saison for best results.

Step 1: Stir Together the Dry Ingredients

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. In a large bowl stir together the flour, baking powder, granulated sugar, and salt.
