In addition to enabling you to send private messages to one person, WhatsApp for the iPhone supports groups with up to 30 WhatsApp members. You can start a group to send text messages, photos, videos and audio notes to all members at once, as well as share contacts and location information. As the group creator, you are able to add and remove participants as needed. When you no longer need the group, you can delete and leave it.
Launch WhatsApp and tap the "Chats" icon on the bottom of the screen.
Tap the "New Group" button to start a group chat.
Type a topic for the group in the "Subject" field. The subject must be 25 characters or fewer.
Tap the "+" icon to bring up a list of your contacts. Tap the first contact's name to add him to the group. After the first contact is added, you can tap the "+" icon and repeat the same process to add each contact. Alternatively, begin typing a contact name in the "Participants" field and then tap the contact's full name in the drop-down menu when it appears.
Tap "Done" to open the chat window for the group.
