You can adjust icons in Mac OS X Snow Leopard in Folder Options.

You cannot change the size of a single icon in Mac OS X Snow Leopard unless that icon is the only item in a folder. When adjusting icon sizes, you can make the icons in one folder a different size than the icons in another, but you must change an entire folder. For example, you can make the icons inside "Folder A" a size of 32 pixels, while the icons in "Folder B" have a size of 64 pixels each.

Instructions

    • 1

Double-click the "Desktop" icon. Browse for the folder holding the icon you want to enlarge and double-click that folder.

    • 2

Click the "Finder" option from the top navigation bar, select "View" and click "Show View Options." Alternatively, press the "Command" + "J" keys simultaneously to bring up the "Folder Options" menu.

    • 3

Click the radio button labeled "This Window Only."

    • 4

Move the "Icon Size" slider to the right to increase the size of the icon.

    • 5

Make any other adjustments to the icon and folder options you want. Press the "Command" + "W" keys simultaneously to close the "Folder Options" window. You have successfully updated the icon size for that specific folder.
