How to Make an Electronic Graphics Portfolio
Use a free Web hosting service such as Portfolio Open, Coroflot or Carbon Made to create an electronic graphics portfolio. Keep in mind that the Web is brimming with the portfolios of skilled artists. This fact strongly suggests that a portfolio showing virtuosic skill in photography, graphic design or some other craft will not be useful without your aggressive networking and promotion. To distinguish yourself and catch the eye of an academic recruiter or an employer, do what it takes to get noticed. For example, participate regularly in forums dedicated to your style of art.
