How to Hook Up a Cisco Personal Communicator With Skype
Cisco Personal Communicator, or CPC, is a softphone PC application that lets you make calls through your phone line on your computer. If you want to use a separate telephone number from your land line, one way to so is by hooking up Personal Communicator with Skype. To do so, you need SkypeConnect. This integrates Skype into PBX-based phones like the CPC. You will get a new, Skype-only phone number and be able to run CPC the same way.

Sign up for SkypeConnect, if you haven’t already, then open your CPC.

Get CTRL-I to display the information about your account.

Write down the number next to “PBX.”

Log in to SkypeConnect and click “View Profile.”

Click “Authentication details.”

Type your PBX number into the box provided, then click “Authenticate.”

Restart CPC. It will now run calls through your SkypeConnect account.
