Tips & Warnings
Use your toner once a day. If you want to use the toner twice a day, start off with once a day and gradually work up to twice a day. Keep your toner stored in a cool, dry area. Shake the bottle before using. Make a tea with witch hazel leaves and use it instead of the toner. The tea works well as a face cleanser. Add 1 teaspoon of witch hazel leaves to 1 cup of boiling water. Let the leaves steep until the water completely cools. Dip a cotton ball in the tea and wipe all over your face.
Avoid overusing your toner. Using a product constantly can cause dryness and irritation of the skin. If you wash your face with soap and water first, wait a few minutes before cleansing your face with the toner. This helps prevent irritation from too many products at once. Stop using witch hazel if you have an allergic reaction to the toner.
