How to Make an Origami Bill Suit
An interesting suite to display in a miniature wardrobe is a suit made from bills, also known as paper money. A suit made out of bills requires three separate bills that create the shirt, belt and pants. The three pieces are attached together using the belt. The small interesting suite is a good conversation piece. Change the appearance of the suite simply by folding the bill to use the front or the back of the bill. Allow approximately 15 minutes to complete the folding process.

1
Position the bill on a flat surface so the long edge is on a vertical axis. Match the right and left side. Crease along the fold. Open the fold.
-
2
Match the left side to the center fold line. Crease along the fold. Repeat the process with the right side.
-
-
3
Flip the bill over. Fold the top edge down even with the white border on the bill. Crease firmly along the fold line. This is the beginning of the collar.
-
4
Flip the bill over. Fold the top left-hand point to the center line approximately 1/4-inch from the top edge. Crease along the fold line. A long triangle is created along the left-hand side. This is the collar. Repeat the process with the top right-hand corner.
-
5
Fold the bottom edge up one-third of the way. Crease along the fold line. Fold the bottom edge up and place it under the collar. Crease along the fold line.
-
6
Open the fold one time and remove it from under the collar. Rotate the bill so the collar is on the bottom. Carefully unfold the left and right edge to make the bill the original width. Hold the top left-hand corner. Fold and insert the rest of the left edge back inside the bill at the fold line. You are creating the sleeve. The corner will angle down at a 45 degree angle. Force the bill inside itself until the left edge is flush with the fold line. Press firmly to crease. Repeat the process with the upper right hand corner.
-
7
Rotate the bill so the collar is on top. Fold the bottom edge up and under the collar. The two sleeves will portrude to the left and right side of the shirt. Press the folds firmly to hold in place. Set aside until assembly.
Belt
-
8
Place a bill on a flat work surface so the two long edges are on the horizontal.
-
9
Match the top and bottom of the bill together. Crease along the fold.
-
10
Match the top and bottom point of the bill together a second time. Crease along the fold. Repeat one more time for a total of three folds.
-
11
Set the belt aside until assembly.
Pants
-
12
Place a bill on a flat work surface so the two long edges are on the horizontal. Match the top and bottom of the bill together. Crease along the fold.
-
13
Match the top and bottom of the bill together a second time. Crease firmly along the fold line.
-
14
Match the two vertical ends of the bill together. Crease along the fold line and open.
-
15
Fold the left side of the bill toward the middle and down to form a 90 degree angle at the folded center mark. The point of a triangle will appear at the center point. Repeat the process with the right hand side of the bill.
-
16
Flip the bill over. Notice the triangle made from the folded bill just under the top point. Fold the top point down and make a fold along the bottom edge of the triangle. This creates a flat top on the pants. Flip the pants over. Set aside until assembly.
-
17
Gently squeeze the top and bottom of the shirt to open the area between the shirt. Insert one end of the belt into the left hand side of the shirt approximately 1/2-inch. Fold the belt around the front of the shirt. Crease along the fold line.
-
18
Insert the triangle on the back of the pants over the top of the belt.
-
19
Fold the right hand side of the belt back, flush with the right hand side of the shirt.
-
20
Gently squeeze the top and bottom of the shirt to open the area between the shirt. Insert the right hand side of the belt into the opening. Position the belt at an angle so the entire length will fit inside the shirt.
-
21
Crease firmly along the fold lines to flatten the shirt and hold the three pieces together.
